Have never been so stressed out.

First, have to work on a weekend.

Second, my hard drive crashed and failed.

Third, my laptop's memory card also crashed.

How stressful can life get for a minimum wage earner like me? I know there are a lot of worse problems in the world than mine, but then again, we have our own struggles and it's not like I've been slacking off at work.

It's my coworkers who have been the nuisances. Well, they have their own personal issues to deal, which they have made as excuses to slack around or not show up on work.

But does that mean that I don't have the right to have personal issues as well?

I am promising myself that this will be the last time I'll be augmenting their work, I mean, we all have things to deal with in our personal lives. Plus, the boss won't pay over time. Ugh.

Cellulite, the eternally talked about body issue that all of us seem to just discuss in the shadows. It's like an open secret we, women especially, don't talk about yet we always dread every time we take a bath and look at ourselves in the mirror.

I won't deny I have the big C and damn proud of it. Realized it's existence when I was in college when I was in a department store fitting room putting on a dress for a debut ball I was going to be a part of. Being a freshman that I was, I kind of cried and yet I didn't let anyone know. I thought I had a skin disease looking at the marks made me oozy and ashamed. But, thanks to my coolest aunt, I was enlightened.

And here's what I learned about cellulite that I bet would take debunk all those misconceptions.

Drinking soda contributes to the production of cellulite
Thank goodness, soda has nothing to do in the production of cellulite.

It only occurs to women over 40.
Duh, I am living proof that it occurs at almost any age, starting from the tender age of 14.

The thighs and buttocks are the only parts of the body in which cellulite occurs.
Cellulite actually appears most commonly in the hips, thighs, and buttocks but it can also develop in the arms, abdomen, chest and upper back as well.

Thin people cannot have cellulite.
Cellulite can occur to ALL body types.

Cellulite can be removed by liposuction procedures.
Cellulite isn't an indication for liposuction. It can remove excess fat cells, but it cannot affect how they organize themselves or their general structure.

Hopefully, we will all be enlightened. All of us have it and it's natural health phenomenon. So, wear it a little proud.

Sometimes, we know what the word means, but we do not fully understand them. We may grasp the meaning but, not the essence. Here are some tips on how to understand things the easier way.

What is fear?
Ask a student what Fear is and he will answer that, it is the Deep,
Wrenching feeling in your stomach
When pages of your book still smell new and
Just few hours left for your exams

What is a second?
Ask a racer what a second means. He will answer you that, a second is the difference from winning a championship and losing it.

What is disgusting food?
Try asking that to a beggar. The answer would simply be, a blessing from God.

Sometimes, we think about too much stuffs. We love to complicate things, we do not know the answer is just lying around there, somewhere.

Read this in the Baltimore Sun and would just like to share to everyone.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 bottles of cold beer.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He asked the students again if the jar was now full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. 'Yes' was the reply.

The professor then produced two bottles of cold beer from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the grains of sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things: your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions. And if everything else was lost and only they remained; your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff.'

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is noroom for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never haveroom for the things that are important to you.

'Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18 holes. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the shower. Take care of the golf balls first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the cold beer represented. The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a bottle of cold beer with a friend.'

Is your skin less than flawless? Hey, join th club - nobody's
perfect, not even celebrities (they have air-brushing, duh). You can
still put your best face forward with these quick fixes for problem
skin.

For greasy skin - Wash your face twice a day, morning
-and- evening, with a salicylic acid cleanser. This will help control
oil, will lightly exfoliate skin and prevent clogged pores.
Antibacterial soap also helps remove oil and kill acne- causing
bacteria.

For that dry, flaky skin - The eternal teaching of
drinking 8 glasses a day is the main trick to get your skin all
quenched up. Wash your face one a day with a creamy, moisturizing
cleanser. Choose a non-comedegenic formula so you don't get clogged pores. If you tend to get breakouts, a cleanser with glycolic or lactic acid is best.

For that big, honking pimple - In order to deal with a monster pimple, never squeeze or pick at it! You'll just spread the infection and make the zit angry. Instead, hold a hot warmcloth on the blemish for about 5 minutes, twice a day, to help open the pore and drain the pimple. You can camouflage it by using a concealer that contains benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or tea-tree oil.

For those blackheads on the nose and chin - They form when oil and dead skin cells clog your pores. Wash your face twice a day with a grainy scrub. Be very gentle..or you may cause irritation. Then use a daytime, oil-free moisturizer - or a night-time treatment with salicylic acid. Don't use strips right after exfoliating your face, or you could damage your skin.

I remember I had ALL of these during my teen years, and back then it was the biggest deal for me. But now, I can live with these but then again, we have to take care of our skin not because of what others will say, but because it is our skin and we don't want to have the nastiest skin and we are the ones who will reap the consequences a few years from now.

I've been eating healthy foods a lot lately. I admit that having a south beach diet would be expensive but, I am trying my best to eat healthy. No canned goods, few fast foods and zero cokes. As in zilch! You ask me why? You might regret drinking after you read my valid reasons.

1. In many states the Highway Patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. Coke can loosen a rusted bolt, clean corrosion, remove rusts, clean a toilet bowl and if you put a T-Bone steak in a bowl of coke, it will be gone in 2 days.

3. To carry Coca-Cola syrup, trucks must have a placard indicating that the truck is carrying Hazardous Material which is highly corrosive materials.

4. The active ingredient of Coke is Phosphoric acid. It will dissolve nails in 4 days and is a major contributor leading to osteoporosis.

Starting to live a healthy lifestyle is simple. Just avoid fast food and soft drinks first. Nothing more, nothing less.

This week was a little mellow than the last one. My boss who was my previous highschool teacher turned out to be one of those bosses who are ocassionally-heard-never-seen ones. In another life that would have bothered me but then this is a good thing.

I won't come home this weekend nor do I feel the need to go. It feels relieving. Though I am going to work on a Saturday, I still feel a little better. I hope this continues. Happy weekend everyone!

Why love maybe all about laughter

We all think that love is all about the deep things in life - and that the strong bonds of love might be about the sacrifices that people make for each other. Well, love can be a little simpler than that.

A recent research conducted with 52 couples found that laughing strenghtens the relationship. When people laugh at the same thing, they validate each other's opinions. Private jokes and pet names, things that others just don't get, stengthen ties betweek couples.

One of main reasons why people who laugh together find that they grow to have each other is because laughter is a pleasurable experience. The more positive memories you have, the more you love the other person.

If you have ever ate something and got sick and then decided from that time on not to eat the food again? Same thing applies to relationships that have a lot of negative images. Negative images add up to pull the relationship apart.

The second component of love is those secret little pet names and private jokes that no one else know about. These little secrets help the couples feel that they are in a tight bond. It seems that they are likely in their own little world with their own language that no one else understands.

So, may I suggest that go ahead, create endearing yet funny and unusual pet names. Even "klunkhead" may evoke such giggling-inducing and warm associations with the moniker that only the two of you will hold dear.

The tragedy in Myanmar is more saddening not mainly because of the further rain, but because of the government who has refused foreign aid inspite of thousands dying.

It's military junta has denied aid from the United Nations and other foreign organizations who just want to five water, food, and medicine to the now-homeless, hopeless citizens because of the cyclones. The military junta stressed that they should be the ones who will be solely responsible to give basic aid to the victims especially in the far-flung areas.

CNN reported that the citizens of Myanmar who fortunately survived better than the other millions, have taken the initiative to distribute the most needed items for the victims. But the weird and sad thing was, they have to hide their faces so as to avoid military junta retribution. It appears that the government would punish their own people just because they are joining the move to help those who are in dire need. What kind of government is that? What do they get by refusing foreign or even internal aid? What's it for them? The glory? Sole acknowledgement of assistance? I don't get it. People, especially in the small and hidden communities are literally turning turning rain water to drinking water just to survive. New-born babies are freezing to death and the government refuses to receive milk from outside sources. I really don't get it. Now isn't the time to think of policy differences, but to think of precious lives waiting for aid.
